Networking

Computer networking is the connection of devices so they can exchange data and reach shared services.

Practical networking guides and troubleshooting.

Is the problem the network or one service?

Start by checking what still works. A PC that can reach websites but not a shared folder has a different problem from one with no connection. Record the affected device, connection type and exact destination before selecting a guide.

Which network guide should I choose first?

Choose Wi-Fi or Ethernet for the connection itself, IP addressing for adapter details, and network shares for folders or mapped drives. Test one layer at a time. Changing several settings together makes it harder to identify which change affected the result.
