How to Clear a Stuck Print Queue

Cancel print jobs that remain stuck in a Windows printer queue.

Follow the steps in order and stop if the screen or target does not match what is described. Use administrator access only when the task requires it.

Open the queue

Open Settings > Bluetooth & devices > Printers & scanners, select the printer, then select Open print queue.

Cancel the jobs

Open the queue menu and choose Cancel all. Wait a minute for the queue to clear.

Restart the spooler if necessary

Press Windows + R, enter services.msc, open Print Spooler, and select Restart.

The Print Spooler status returns to Running.

Try one small job

Print a single test page. Avoid resending the original document repeatedly while troubleshooting.
