Files & Storage

Which storage guide matches my problem?

Choose Files and folders for names, extensions and locations; Disk space for capacity; and Backup for recovery preparation. A file that cannot be found, a drive that is full and a file that cannot be opened need different checks.

What should I record before changing files or drives?

Record the full location, affected drive and exact error, and confirm where a usable backup is stored. A synchronized folder or network location may affect other people. Avoid deleting unfamiliar system files or treating a restore point as a copy of personal documents.
