Install Screensie on macOS
Requires macOS Monterey 12.3 or later. One download supports Intel and Apple Silicon Macs.
The Mac download is not available in this server release yet. View available downloads.
- Open the downloaded disk image and drag Screensie into Applications.
- Open Applications → Screensie. Confirm that you want to open the downloaded app if macOS asks.
- To let someone view this Mac, use Screensie's Screen Recording setup button and enable Screensie in macOS privacy settings.
- To allow remote mouse and keyboard control, enable Accessibility for Screensie. Restart Screensie if macOS requests it.
- Share your PCID and access password with your trusted helper, or sign in to use your saved computers.
On Monterey, these permissions are under System Preferences → Security & Privacy → Privacy. Newer macOS versions use System Settings → Privacy & Security; the screen recording setting's name can vary.
Update an existing installation
Finish your remote session and quit Screensie. Open the new disk image, drag Screensie into the same Applications folder, and confirm replacement. Open Screensie again. Keep your existing Screensie application data and Keychain entries.
Sharing this Mac
Keep Screensie open and the Mac awake for incoming sessions. Automatic startup and access before login are not included in this Mac release. Available session tools depend on the operating system and installed version.
